Requirements

To complete the minor, students must earn 18 credits minimum including: 

• AFS 263 - Intro to African Studies

• One AFS 400 level course

• Electives to meet the 18-credit minimum required for the minor (no more than 1 course at the 100 level may count toward the minor). Most electives should be courses with content strongly/fully focused on African Studies and the DUS approval.
