Applied Music
Course Description
Music Majors. Prerequisite: permission of instructor. The study of applied music involves the understanding of music literature through performance on a specific instrument. One-hour private instruction weekly. Students are expected to practice a minimum of five hours per week, perform on a student recital and final jury exam, and attend several recitals and performances during the semester.
